Columbia Public Schools is proud to share that Dr. Katie Siegel, Director of Workforce Development, has been appointed to the Missouri Workforce Development Board by Governor Mike Kehoe.

Dr. Siegel has played a key role in advancing career and technical education opportunities for CPS students, helping strengthen connections between education and the workforce. In her current role, she leads district efforts to expand career pathways, support student transitions, and build partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders.

“We are proud to see Dr. Siegel recognized at the state level,” said CPS leadership. “Her work reflects a deep commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation and ensuring strong connections between schools and the workforce.”

The Missouri Workforce Development Board supports statewide efforts to align education, training, and employment opportunities to meet the needs of Missouri’s workforce and economy.

Dr. Siegel is actively involved in several professional and community organizations, including the Association for Career and Technical Education, the Columbia Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Methodist University, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Indiana State University.

Her appointment was included among several announced by the Governor on March 20, 2026.
